The World of Cabaret From 1730 To The Present Day Superstars New Talents 8th Edition Part 1 edition by Maximillien De Lafayette Arts Photography eBooks

BEVERLY HILLS-Maximillien de Lafayette is a rare find in today's literary world. The handsome and most charismatic star himself manages to focus fully and totally on his subjects and is quick to lift up the praises and talents of others. However, his books are filled from cover to cover with some of the most amazing photographs this Hollywood historian has ever seen. Not only are his tomes filled with astonishing and rare images which make Hollywood and Tinseltown the glitter capital of the world, but he also manages to find never known until (now) anecdotal details and evidence which have sharpened the knowledge and awareness of many Hollywood watchers over the years.

What makes this book and every other produced and published by this charming man, is that he's filled with knowledge and respect of classic Hollywood, but yet he knows a good juicy story when he finds one. How fascinating his books are and the talented writer and biographer seems to never rest. He's simply the most prolific of authors on the planet, and he can be assured that I will continue to read his books as soon as they hit the bookstore and Amazon.

Another fascinating and interesting tidbit about the author's style is that he builds his stories to a fever pitch and when you get to the bottom of it, or the end, whatever you may call it. It leaves you wanting even more detail. He's fascinating and his writing style is one-of-a kind and fresh. He throws away the old adage about authors and he's managed to reinvent a whole new brand and style of storytelling, which keeps this reviewer coming back for more.

Just when you think Max has topped his style, talent and abilities as a great Hollywood historian, icon and author, he manages to accomplish even more. Anyone who purchases one of his books and takes the time to read it will not be dissatisfied or bored. There is not one page of any of his books, especially this one, that makes one wonder why the bought it. In fact, by the ending, you are wondering what took you so long to pick this book up and relieve what makes entertainment history and today's Hollywood-so shocking and exciting.

Rich with pictures. Beautiful collection of rare photos of great performers from around the world. The book gives us an opportunity to learn more about the greatest artists of the 20s, 30s and 40s. Beautifully done. Nice addendum on modern stars in various venues. I had a good feeling reading this book, absolutely.
